Badie' Khayri

An ancient Egyptian poet, playwright and writer. He was born in the Maghribin neighborhood, one of the most popular neighborhoods in Cairo, and entered the book and memorized the Qur’an. He wrote his first poetry at the age of 13 and from a young age was a frequent theater attendant and read a lot, so he became very strong in the Arabic language. He made a revolution in the world of zajal when he wrote several poetic seas in one poem instead of the traditional system that prevailed, which was the man's arrangement on one poetic sea.

He worked first in his life in the Egyptian Telephone Authority after graduating from the Teachers High School due to the strength of his English language, as the authority needed it to translate English messages coming from England during the British occupation of Egypt. One of the directors of the authority and later worked as an English language teacher.
