Chris Scheuerman

Chris Scheuerman is an international award winning director, writer and producer.

Scheuerman's international directing debut Lost Solace had its World Premiere at the 2016 Cinequest Film Festival, where it secured global distribution, and was the Movie Gourmet Critics Choice. It enjoyed a successful festival run, screening at the 2016 HorrorChannel Frightfest Film Festival, Fantasporto International Film Festival, Whistler Film Festival, Dublin Horrorthon, Puerto Rico Horror Fest, Nordic International Film Festival in New York City, Lone Star Film Festival, Auckland International Film Festival (Winning Best Director), Boston Sci Fi Film Festival (Winning Honorable Mention), Canadian Film Fest (Winning the William F Whites Reel Canadian Indie), and the Calgary Underground Film Festival. Scheuerman was nominated at the 2017 Leo Awards for Best Director, Best Screenwriting, and Best Motion Picture Editing.

Chris Scheuerman was born in and raised in the oil towns of Southern Alberta. Following his graduation from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in 2005, Scheuerman directed the short film Cornered, which premiered at the 2007 Edmonton International Film Festival. The following year, he wrote and directed the feature film Hope for the Broken Contender, which won the People's Choice Award at the 2008 Calgary International Film Festival. Scheuerman earned two nominations at the Alberta Film and Television Awards for Best Screenplay and Best Cinematography.

Scheuerman continues to develop screenplays, each detailing his love of character and his desire to explore our fragile human condition through unique and accessible stories.
