Luciana Malavasi

Graduated in Performing Arts from CAL, Luciana Malavasi also holds a degree in Journalism. She began her career as an actress and, in 2013, produced her first play. In 2023, she studied cinema at the New York Film Academy in New York. In cinema, she wrote and directed the short films "Cry" (2022), which won the Best Film About Women category at the World Film Carnival in Singapore, and "Íris' Window" (2023), winning Best Director at the Rotterdam Independent Film Festival and the Berlin Shorts Award. She produced and acted in the theater-film "Alethea Dreams" (2020). With her short film "A Thread of Any Time" she won the 2020 Short Scenes Festival for Best Screenplay and Best Actress, in addition to a nomination for Best Direction.
