Emre Sefer

April 12, 1992 — Istanbul, Turkey

Born on April 3, 1992 in Istanbul, Emre Sefer graduated from Istanbul Aydin University, Department of Radio, Television and Cinema. Sefer, who worked on many projects during her student life, shot her short film "Cesur" in 2013. "Brave/Cesur" won the Honorable Mention Award in the "Happy Family/Mutlu Aile"-themed short film competition organized by Konya Metropolitan Municipality.

The film was nominated in six categories in the Fiction category at the 1st BAK Academy Awards organized by SETEM, won three awards in total, including Best Film, Best Director and Best Actor, and was entitled to be a finalist in many festivals. In 2015, he was entitled to study at the Istanbul Cinema Center, where selected people are recruited every semester, and many directors took lessons from the cinematographer in this field. Metamorfoz, for which he was a script consultant in 2015, competed in inter-high school festivals and won two awards. He shot "Melahat Hanim in Number Four / Dört Numaradaki Melahat Hanim" in 2015, but he could not find the opportunity to send it to festivals.

Since 2015, successful directors such as Orhan Oguz, Mehmet Bahadir Er, Uluç Bayraktar and Ercan Kesal have been actively involved in TV series and feature films such as "Eksi Bir", "Nasipse Adayiz", "Çarpisma", "Ayla". is the assistant director.

The young director is touring festivals in Turkey with his short film "The Day My Father Died / Babamin Öldügü Gün", which he completed in 2022.
