Dawne Adams is a British percussionist, whose work has included performing with Duran Duran during UK shows of The All You Need Is Now Tour in 2011.
Dawne began her interest in percussion at the age of eleven. Having studied for a BA in Performing Arts at Middlesex University, she then went onto the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and spent a year on the Postgraduate Jazz and Studio Course. From this point on her drumming and percussion career developed into playing and touring with artists such as Lionel Richie and the Pet Shop Boys, taking in three world tours and playing at Live 8 in Moscow's Red Square in 2005. Other artists that she has also played and recorded with have included: Shapeshifters, Shaun Escoffrey, FROU FROU, Jody Whatley, Dodou Cissoko, Lewis Taylor, Carleen Anderson, Roland Gift, Pauline Taylor, Tanita Tikaram. She has also appeared in the extended cast of Stomp at the Royal Festival Hall and at the Acropolis in Athens in 1995.
Dawne is also a songwriter and has released her own vocal album Assume Nothing on iTunes and CD Baby in 2004. She enjoys writing and producing her own material and is also involved in writing soundtracks for other projects.
