Born in Japan in 1999 and raised in the Philippines, RD Azuma is a 21-year-old Filipino-Japanese multidisciplinary artist, whose forte is filmmaking, content creation, and digital design. His passion for the arts roots heavily on his culture and as well as his love for making freeflow, abstract, and/or concept heavy type of art. At an early age, he has been exposed to the industry, specifically in the field of performing arts and ultimately taking visual arts professionally.
RD is currently a third-year college student, studying AB Multimedia Arts and Design in an art school based in Makati City, Philippines. He made his debut in the filmmaking sphere in 2014, specifically in student-produced films during the CinePambata Video Festival hosted by the National Council for Children's Television of the Philippines with "Pendong." The film was submitted for the one-minute category and won Special Jury Prize.
