Ligia Ciornei was born in Suceava, a city near the border with Ukraine, which was and is a source of inspiration for her films. He lives in Bucharest, during which time he studied Film Directing and Film Production at the National University of Theater and Cinematography "I.L Caragiale", Bucharest. He is currently a doctoral student at the same university. She stood out internationally with the short films "Vintage" and "Somewhere in Moldova", she made her theatrical debut with the show "Grounded" by George Brant, which in turn was appreciated by critics and theater selectors. "Citadela" is a performative installation about the first female pilots in Romania and managed to define the young director as an interdisciplinary artist.
