Siraj Huwaidi was born in Tripoli. He began writing on the Internet at a time when the cultural movement was almost non-existent during the Gaddafi era and published dozens of stories and articles on the Internet in 2002. He then shifted to scriptwriting and became famous through the Libyat series, which lasted for four seasons.
Siraj Huwaidi is considered one of the most known Libyan scriptwriters. During his artistic career, Siraj Huwaidi won more than 20 awards from international, Arab, and local festivals.
