Ana Dumitrascu was born on December 5 1997 in Dragasani, Romania. She studied Acting at the National University of Theatre and Film "I.L.Caragiale" in Bucharest, Romania. Before graduating, she played her first lead role in Immaculate (2021) awarded with the Lion of the Future Award for Best Debut in 2021 Venice Film Festival. Ana Dumitrascu's performance was praised in Cineuropa and ICSfilm. She is also known for several shortfilms including the musical Crezi ca-i grav (2019) and the queer drama Our home (2021)
