Terri Timely is a director duo consisting of Ian Kibbey and Corey Creasey whose colorful, comedic and conceptual films take you on unexpected journeys and breathe fresh air into familiar experiences (often using inventive in-camera effects)– from the one-take Tame Impala music video Lost In Yesterday to their celebrated comedic work for Geico. Northern California natives Kibbey and Creasey met while studying at the University of California, Berkeley. They started working together as Terri Timely to create music videos (for artists like Joanna Newsom, St. Vincent, Modest Mouse); and then transitioned into making commercials for top brands like Apple, AT&T, Toyota, Amazon, Skittles, Mountain Dew, and many more.
Inspired by good stories – “the genre doesn’t really matter to us” – the Timely’s take a similar approach to all areas of their work, drawing on offbeat humor to atypical narratives. Their short films have garnered numerous accolades like Synesthesia, which was screened as part of the New York’s Guggenheim Museum YouTube Play Biennial of Creative Video, Input/Output which was voted Vimeo’s “Best of the Year”, and Lazy Susan which was also a Vimeo Staff pick and has screened at numerous film festivals around the world. Terri Timely’s Geico ‘Unskippable’ campaign garnered numerous industry awards including a Grand Prix win at the 2015 Cannes Lions while their next Geico campaign ‘Crushed’ went on to win 5 more lions in 2017. Subsequently they have made more award winning work for Honda, IBM, More Than, Orbits, Just Eats, Subway and more.
