Stan Sheel Tayi, professionally known as James Matador (a.k.a Matador), is a master pickup artist and one of the founding partners of the Venusian Arts. In addition, he is also an actor, accomplished businessman, national-champion martial artist, and amateur bodybuilder.

He graduated from Depaul University majoring in Computer Science and worked in technology and management consulting. Finding success in the business world, he also went on to become a competitive martial artist and body builder. Despite all this, he still had no success with women so he decided to do something about this and came across the seduction community in 1999. He has since become a major player in the game. In 2005, he joined Mystery Method Corporation but eventually left, with Mystery, to co-found Venusian Arts with fellow PUA Lovedrop.

While at Mystery Method Corporation, Matador and Mystery developed the pilot for VH-1's The Pickup Artist. The reality TV show aired for two seasons, with Matador playing a key role as an instructor. Matador, who spoke at Yale University on social dynamics and dating, is Mystery's long-time wing and together they have taught live seminars all over the world. Matador is considered one the best pick-up artists in the world.

He has appeared on The Jon Stewart Show, Conan O'Brien, and Fox and Friends, and has received coverage from CNN, The New York Times, and AskMen.com.
