A world War One veteran, Yamoussoukro lived most of his life in relative obscurity, he released one film, Uncle Cankle and The Dancing Ankle, a passion project he worked on for many years. the film was Yamoussoukro's way of expressing his distain towards Sudanese Society at the time. The film was believed to have been destroyed in a bombing raid during the Sudanese civil war, however the first 12 minutes of the film were discovered to have survived decades later.
