Born in Latakia, Syria in 1991 and based in Brussels. Alhasan is a documentary and fiction filmmaker and photographer with a bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual - Cinema and TV from the Lebanese University and a master’s degree in Documentary Film Directing from DocNomads in Portugal, Hungary, and Belgium. He draws on his subjective viewpoint in an experimental and personal manner, to recount experienced social, political, and emotional narratives. Alhasan’s latest documentary, 'Locus Cordis' premiered at the Visions du Réel film festival in Switzerland and RIDM film festival in Montreal. He is also developing a project on “helping out of helplessness“, inspired by the recent earthquake in his hometown as a Syrian living in exile.
