Mayuko Nihei

Mayuko Nihei studied at the Agrippina Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia. She joined the National Dance Company in Mexico in 2006. She was promoted to Soloist in 2007 and to First Soloist in 2008. Since 2013 she has held the category of First Ballerina of the National Dance Company. She has been invited to the Albuquerque, New Mexico and Miami, Florida ballet festivals. She has starred in ballets such as Tierra, Swan Lake, Giselle, La Sylphide and The Scotsman, Les Sylphides, La Bayadère, Coppélia, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, among others.
