Cuca Canals

Cuca Canals has a degree in Information Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Until 1992 he worked in advertising, winning numerous international awards. As a screenwriter has worked with Bigas Luna in 'Jamon Jamon' (Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival), Golden Eggs (Special Jury Prize at the Festival of San Sebastián), 'La Teta y la Luna' (Golden Osella best Screenplay at the Venice Film Festival) and 'La Camarera del Titanic' (best Screenplay Award at the Festival of Cairo and 1998 Goya Award for Best Adapted Screenplay), among other works. His first novel, 'Berta la Larga', was a critical and commercial success, and has been translated into several languages. In 1998 she published her second novel. She is also an interesting painter that has been exhibited in Madrid and Barcelona.
