A girl's ghost follows a butterfly.
Set to a rather haunting soundtrack, I couldn't quite decide whether this engaging animation was about death, or reincarnation, or loneliness - indeed there are precious few parameters to put meat on it's bones so I though I'd just enjoy it for whet it is. That's a pleasing story that sees a butterfly travel to the home of a young girl only for it to leave and for us to wonder if she is real or a spirit (or both). It's a delicate piece of work this, and despite the fact that the story isn't obvious, that proves not to really matter. It's still worth five minutes just to watch Joe Jacobs and a team clearly in love with their craft.
