Kinetic Play/Juego Cinetico

Searching for a more personal expression of tango, two veterans of stage tango jettison the high heels and rigid choreography that are the hallmarks of their nightly work. In a rejection of gender roles, they take turns leading and following, initiating and responding. Set to the music of contemporary Argentinian composer Diego Schissi, this portrait captures their ongoing search for a personal expression of tango that is indifferent to its marketability in the tango tourist industry.
