The Threefold Life of Man

The Threefold Life of Man is the title of a book from the Seventeenth century by the German mystic Jacob Böhme, but it is also the title of a recent short silent film by Swedish radio- and sound artist Johan Andrén. During the quarter of an hour, we are introduced to a childhood memory, a reminiscence of an autistic boy's last summer on an island in the Swedish archipelago, conducted as a drama with three protagonists; the father, the mother, the child.
